Demre Yacht Charter Guide

Welcome to Santa Claus's City Demre!

Hello sea lovers! This place is neither like the crowd of Marmaris nor the noise of Bodrum. This is the place where history meets water, Demre... Formerly Myra. If your path has fallen to Demre, the heart of Lycia, there is one thing you should not return without doing: exploring the sunken mystery of Kekova with Demre yacht charter.

The sea is different here; smooth as glass in the morning, refreshing with the breeze at noon. While thousands of years of history lie under the water, you cannot find the pleasure of swimming above it anywhere else.

Important Note from the Captain: Sunken City (Kekova) The most common question we hear from our guests: "Can we swim over the Kekova Sunken City?". Swimming over the Sunken City is prohibited to protect the historical texture, and boats do not stop here. However, don't worry! We pass very slowly right next to the structures with our boat. You will be able to see the amphorae, stairs, and house ruins under the water clearly with our glass-bottom boats or from the deck. We take our swimming breaks in the sparkling bays right across.

Our Kekova Routes: Where Do We Go?

We not only satisfy you with the sea but also with history in the tours we go out with Demre rental yachts. We untie the ropes from Çayağzı Port or Üçağız around 10:00 in the morning. Here are the pearls in our route:

Especially at our Simena (Kaleköy) stop, you have the chance to go ashore. I say don't return to the boat without eating ice cream there, climbing the castle, and watching that famous view. This village, accessible only by sea, is one of the most special places in Turkey.

What Do We Eat on the Boat? (Captain's Table)

The sea makes people hungry, we know this best! That's why we trust our kitchen very much. Lunch and treats are included in Demre boat rental prices. The menu we prepare for you is usually as follows:

  • Barbecue Pleasure: Fresh Fish (Sea Bream/Sea Bass), Chicken Skewers or Meatballs according to your preference. Your appetite will open up when the smell of the grill mixes with the smell of the sea.
  • Our Appetizers: Local olive oil dishes, pasta (children's favorite), salad with plenty of greens, and potato salad. All are prepared fresh in the morning.
  • Five O'clock Tea: When you get tired of swimming, you gather your energy with brewed tea, coffee, and biscuit/fruit treats.

* Captain's Recommendation: If we come across, we ensure you taste the region's famous Blue Crab. This is a special flavor outside the menu and can be bought fresh from fishing boats.
